Absolutely @Colin In normal circumstances you can only add a maximum of 50% to the grant.
The good condition payment is not taken into account, as it is paid after collection of our new vehicle. That then leaves the new car payment £750, that can be offset agains’t the AP of your new car or taken as payment in the bank.
The grant award, plus a contribution of 50% max give’s £1,500 as a maximum AP. The tricky bit is how the grants department treat the new vehicle pament £750!
i.e if you use the £750 NVP, is your grant award reduced by £250 or do you get this refunded as part NVP payment or do they allow you to add the full £750 NVP to the grant. I don’t know?
