I’m collecting a Qashqui on Monday and have been told that the AP has to be paid in advance. I said I wanted to inspect the car first (have done this on all the Motability cars I’ve had previously) but was told that I would not be able to collect the car if the AP hadn’t been transferred the day before. This is a first!
This is nonsense. BACS transfers and credit card payments are virtually immediate. There’s no way I would pay the AP before inspecting the car. Sounds like a few dealers have cash flow issues. If so, that’s their issue, not yours.
