My circumstances and lifestyle greatly benefit from having an EV to drive vs an ICE Car
I have my own driveway and charge from home so now much cheaper than running my last 1.2 petrol car,
I am a low mileage user 7000 miles which is 90% urban which is something petrol mpg hate but EVs benefit from ( so no brainer imo ) and I may public charge on a couple of longer trips each year which is no big deal a bit of common sense and 3 minutes of charger planning which is all done for you via one of the many available apps and occasional public charging costs are easily offset with lower home recharging costs even with my low usage
At preset I charge at standard 27p kw but since having my Easee charger swapped over to a smart looking Ohme untethered pod I am for example if so wish now able to access Intelligent Octopus go and charge at less than 8p a kw ( still doing sums on that one as normal daily rate of IOG is higher than mine )
I choose an EV tbh not to save the planet
My motivation was simply because one suited my lifestyle pefectly allows me to save on my only motoring costs that being fuel
Also as a bonus free charger installation low AP quick delivery for a top spec fast charging long range fast off the mark very attractive comfortable fully loaded safest car to date
EVs can be Marmite for some but a joy for others imo
