My Skoda dealer reckoned that the low Enyaq AP was to boost volumes and guarantee dealers future servicing income to compensate them for the fact that Skoda has switched to a selling agent model for their EVs. Plausible as the switch to the agency model is true and of course Motability do only use manufacturers service centers. Might be part of it although fillng to order book before the switch to the new model seems at least as likely. The Kona not as premium as the Enyaq Sportline plus but nicer than anything else on our reserve list. Removed the Austral from that today as the boot not dog shaped. The Peugeott 3008 and Ford Kuga as suitable but looking very dated alongside the Enyaq and Kona. We also looked at the Tucson but didn’t take it out as it looked huge in the showroom although looking at spec it is actually 22CM smaller than our Tiguan Allspace so might take it for a spin . Not as futuristic as the Kona but decent box of toys.
