It certainly seems the way that the Volkswagen Group are heading, as Skoda are pointing in the direction of hiring out options on their new Superb.
As a Motability leasing customer, it makes no sense at all to lease a basic model and spend thousands on optional extras, which Motability will benefit from when selling on the car (even to you). Also if you are in an accident (and as much as we may hope, non of us can predict that we won’t) and the car is written off, you will loose your thousands as you will only get the AP paid back in a pro-rata basis.
That is how the South Korean, Japanese and now the Chinese cars look a better bet if you need loads of tech such as electric seats, leather seats, 360 camera, remote electric boot/hatch, ect, to ease you disability needs.
I know that occasionally high spec cars from other manufacturers come on the list with decent AP’s, but whatever car/suv you go for, you are always better to look at all the possibilities and possible consequences before splashing the cash.
