As a quick guide Ive spent £2.08 on gas since sunday up to now, which includes shower’s and heating!
Boiler temp is is currently between 60 -65c with the weather compensation gizmo doing its own thing.
Early days but, I’ll keep reporting back over the week or so 🙂
What is also pleasing is, due to the boiler flow temp changing directly as the outside weather changes, it keeping the room warmer. How can I explain why… As with your normal room thermostat the heating switches off when it hits a set threshold say 20c, there is then a time gap before the thermostat hits the threshold to turn the boiler back on again and warm the radiators up again, so preventing either too cold or hot. This isn’t happening and its keeping the house at a constant temperature, if you get what I mean.
So basically alls you need is a timer for when you want your heating on and an opentherm thermostat such as nest or even my ancient Honeywell one works.
