Expect to see the Enyaq 80 disappear from car search in the next day or so. I had an appointment booked with my dealer this afternoon to place an order for an 80 sportline plus. He called me this morning to say that while it is still on Motability the Skoda configurator is no longer allowing dealers to order 80s. It has been replaced by the 85. The order book for 85 models was due to open on the 31st but dealers were sent a bulletin last Wednesday bringing that forward to last Thursday. He had spoken to Skoda UK who said that the 85 model will be on Motability but only when the price has been agreed between Skoda and Motability. The person he was talking to didn’t know when that would be. I spoke to Motability customer service myself this afternoon and they didn’t know anything about it. They just said that it isn’t unusual for cars to drop off the scheme without notice. Mind you, they also said that when they do, they aren’t likely to come back until the next quarter which we know isn’t true. The dealer said that all stock 80s are being returned to Skoda UK and will then be available for resale by all dealers from a central stock list. He said that he could theoretically could order me an 80 from that pool , but in my case he can’t because they are for immediate availability and I can’t collect until the end of January.
