The Suzuki Across PHEV is a rebadged Toyota Rav4 PHEV both are made Toyota factory.
Suzuki and Toyota signed a memorandum of understanding in 2017 and a business partnership in 2019/20.
Toyota will use Suzuki’s platforms and expertise to develop new models, while Suzuki will outsource electrified vehicles and hybrid tech from Toyota – Toyota will use new Suzuki engines for it compact sector in Europe and Suzuki get access to the Corrola (Swace) and Rav4 (Across) for now. The 2 companies wll also take forward and develop automonous driving.
