Yes, it’s the internal space I was referring to, which is obviously the more relevant. The boot is way too small for our needs. A mate had an NX (next model up) for a while and even the boot in that was too small, as the boot is very shallow and doesn’t have the huge extra underfloor space that we have on our X1.

Indeed GG. I am really struggling not knowing don’t knowing which way to turn finding another car, I’m beginning to clutch at straws where factual infrmation is concerned.

You can’t depend on the “official information” provided. You can look at the car dimensions site, see that a particular car looks to have more space than other options, yet when you go see it the car is actually smaller.

You’ve probably already done this but I’d list the minimum space and options you need, pick out the cars that you’d like to drive (within reason), then go from there. I’m the same, working it out from the logistics side of things first and making decisions from how practical the car would be based on the specs provided. It always ends up in disappointment when I go see the car because a “bigger” boot can mean the boot itself is taller, meaning less space for my assistance dog to lay down.

Still haven’t found the car I like yet but I’m changing my approach and it’s less stressful.
