So we decided to go have a closer look at the Tarraco today, we didn’t dislike it at all. We found the leather trim to be very comfortable. With the last row of seats down the boot is huge, although with the tonneau cover stowed in the car, the under boot storage is slightly limited.
We test drove the FR Sport trim with a DSG box, and we liked the way it drove, it gave us a great view of the road, and did give me the ‘feel behind the wheel’ that O think i’ve missed since waiving our Santa Fe off over 3 years ago.
They actually had the Excellence Lux in the showroom, which of course isn’t on the scheme currently, but we checked that out first for accessibility & comfort as it was warmer inside the showroom ?.
I have to say the 20″ alloys on the Lux, being gloss with a diamond cut and polished too looked utterly superb, and in fact I felt they looked a better fit for the Sport trim, but you can’t up-spec them ?.
The FR Sport demonstrator that we took out was dirty, and so were its 20″ alloys. The combo of the trim specific matt grey wheels with a matt diamond cut and a layer of brake dust, just took the look off it. Gotta look beyond the road filth of course.
The colour choice on the FR Sport trim is quite limited, but I do like the Oryx White, and when clean, that trim can look like this …..
