    I order mine on 26th July from BMW Park Lane, they told me initially that I should be receiving delivery by late November definitely, I rang them the other day to check the status and the sales agent told me it is now looking like March and the car is not even in production yet. Which I was very disappointed as he was sure when I first placed the order I will get it by November and now he changed the story saying due to shortages. I wa Ted to ask if anybody here knew how I could find out the build slot and order status of the vehicle as many people on here know there’s, how would I find this information as the sales agent is not very helpful and does not want to give me any information about the expected delivery times and more.

    Unfortunately, it sounds as though the dealer had no build slots available when you ordered. Dealers will almost never tell you this, unless you specifically ask. It happens to people on this forum constantly. People think that their car is ordered because the dealer gave them some ‘order’ paperwork and the ‘order’ shows on the Motability system. However, neither of these are actually proof that the car has been ordered! Sounds daft, and dealers operate on the basis that nobody knows this, but the actual order is only placed when the dealer orders the car from the factory, and they can only do that when they have a build slot available. This means that the dealer can ‘sit’ on your order for several months before placing it, so the customer isn’t even in the queue yet but doesn’t know it. If you look further back through this thread you will see that @kezo posted the numerous order codes that get assigned at every stage of the process. If you contact BMW directly through their website, they should be able to tell you where your order is. However, you will need your BMW order number, so you will need to get that from your dealer if you haven’t already, or BMW will simply refer your query back to your dealer. Hope that helps.
