in the context of 8.5 0-60 is slow or not, that’s subjective.
It really depends on what you are comparing it too, there have been many reviews and VW group electric SUV range have been well criticised for their slowness from many professional reviewers. I drove one and I agree they are slow in comparison to what’s availble now, ( there is no point in comparing to 20/30 years ago)
However that said they have all now finally been announced (Audi,Skoda andVW) the 2024 revisions to the battery software and more importantly the new APP550 motors with 82bhp more and 75% increase in torque
With all now having 0-60 times around 6.5 seconds quite a dramatic improvement in performance and useable power for every day driving.
The same motors are already in the new ID7 and the driving dynamics from the reviews have been very positive, we will of course all await the professional reviews thoughts. but I’m sure anyone who manages to place an order for the Audi Q4 45, Skoda Enyaq 85 and the updated ID4/ID5 models when they are on the Motability system will be very delighted.
