Hi Kezo, Yes that was obviously one of the main things I had to check out. The day before when I was checking out a Kia Proceed, I had taken a silhouette of my wheelchair (a table cloth cut to the shape of my wheelchair) and a towel to drop over the car door and boot sill’s so as to not scrape the car when transferring from the wheelchair to the car seats and when putting the wheelchair in the boot.
But because the Ioniq 6 was a definite order if I could get in and out the car easily and the wheelchair fitted, I also took an old identical spare wheelchair for my female PA to try putting it in the boot and that way I could see it getting put in. My PA/carer said she had no problem putting it in and would be happy doing so each time. The wheelchair is a manual chair and fitted with plenty of floor room in the boot, but obviously with it being a boot the hight is not the same as my estate car, but the chair cushion did go on top of the wheelchair when folded in the boot. The car is 191 inches long so has a decent size boot and the opening did not seem too narrow.
