    I’m afraid that means absolutely nothing to me! I’ve watched your videos though . I presume that must be exceptionally rare? I presume that EVs aren’t more likely to burst into flames in a crash?

    Yes mate especially as battery technology moves forward and improving. The BYD Blade battery uses lithium ion phosphate (LFP) or LiFePO4 thats more known. The downside is the battery packs have a lower density than other chemistry’s but, known to be safer however, to mitigate lower density it is possible to add more cell packs to the Blade battery, which mitigates the otherwise loss.

    One of the reasons I believe EV insurance is through the roof ( @joss post) is the potential risks of extinguished battery fires or damage caused from an accident is  the possibility they can reignite time after time and require larger storage area’s after an accident/fire. Industry & emergency chiefs are learning and coming up with ways to mitigate these risks.
