I lived in a flat in a small town with no EV chargers within 8 miles initially… and did so for about 9 months without any problems and probably did about 12k miles in that time, BUT I got a Hyundai and had done my research, they do (as do many others) a charge card, “ChargeMyHyundai” and for an extra £11.25 a month I could subscribe to Ionity and that was one of the closest chargers to me. Meant I was paying 29p kW (and still am) and were really fast chargers. So, in answer to your question, it is possible (Although more expensive but probably still cheaper than petrol) but it’s not as convenient and the savings aren’t as big as they would be if you could charge at night at home. Do your research is my advice, see what’s available regarding chargers and also if the car manufacturer has any cards that may help

    Super good reply.

Clearly can be done, but go in eyes wide open. Although I have home charging, we do have a few rapid chargers so it would be do-able.
