Was looking on off chance the x1 had joined the scheme. Anyway came across Halliwelljones BMW and only 1 and 2 series showing, no 4 series. Is it correct or not I don’t know ? https://www.halliwelljones.co.uk/bmw/motability

As the entry level X1 is now a 2.0i petrol, Motability will consider that to be the stuff of the devil ? I think that the iX1 has more chance, especially when the lower powered one that was recently announced comes out.

Its a shame really as the scheme is sarting push me away, making me consider buying private again, just because I’m not ready for the change to BEV. Depending what today/tomorrow brings I may look at the Active Tourer 245, which I guess would be the same power for the ix1 if it joined. It will take some getting use to with a MPV lol but I won’t discount other manufacturers if something decent comes along.

Come next year when the government introduces its electric vehicle mandate, I can see the scheme becoming an EV dumping ground and not neccessarily the best EV’s, so manufacturers can meet their sales targets.
