Thanks, I’ve binned it, you are probably right that it’s just a duff one but the doubt is sufficient to make it a less than happy order. A couple of people in the comments below the video said that they thought that the sound he was hearing, and the brake alert that repeated 4 times, were actually linked, ie not a software problem, but a brake vacuum leak. I’ve got a spinal injury and waiting around for a tow truck is something I need to try to avoid (not to mention actual brake failure ??). I know that there are no guarantees with any car. The best advice that the Jeep dealer could offer was that there will always be a problem and the car has an SOS button, not reassuring.
