Car wow calls the gearbox shockingly clunky

I just googled Suzuki s cross AGS reviews and it came up I’ve been driving automatic cars since age 18 I’m 57 now and the best auto box I’ve had was in my 3 Volkswagen Golf’s a 7 speed dsg so smooth and silent . The cvt box in my current Toyota Chr is the weakest link of the car as it’s noisy and spoils a quiet very comfortable car imho ! It’s a pity Toyota didn’t go dsg on their hybrids but they are very economical so I can’t complain
I also had a ford galaxy power shift, Vauxhall zafira conventional auto, Renault and seat dsg’s. Happy with them.
Read that at some point Suzuki used conventional auto/CVT/asg.
The Toyota you mentioned is probably the CVT gearbox.
