5:32am and another night without sleep due to the oppressive heat.
Currently 31.3 degrees in my flat (all windows open) plus 2 fans going full blast.
According to Alexa outside temperature is 17 degrees.
I have a portable aircon unit that is great at blowing freezing cold air at me however it is super expensive to run and as soon as i switch it off the room temperature rockets again.
I have no idea how others cope in these hot spells because for me its fast approaching borderline unbearable.
Mrs Gee says i should call my GP but unless he can change the weather i don’t see how that would help.
COPD and heart disease are likely to be contributory factors in my inability to cope during hot spells and neither of those two conditions are getting better anytime soon which leaves me verging on despair.
Drastic times call for drastic measures so if i can get dressed by myself (that’s not always doable) i’m going to head for my car and make use of the aircon.
