Not even close to being cold enough for us to consider putting the heating on here in Surrey.
By far the biggest issue for me is at the other end of the spectrum namely excessive heat.
Scorching temperatures in warm spells turn our flat into a furnace.
With 2 big ecoair fans (£150 each) going full blast and with windows open temps of 40 degrees have not been uncommon for us.
In desperation i recently purchased a MEACO 7000 portable aircon (£300 from amazon) and it has really helped to cool our flat down . . . but its expensive to run, approx 75p per hour meaning we limit ourselves to short bursts of 15 mins or so.
As good as the meaco 7000 is at cooling our flat, within 30 mins of switching it off the temperature in our flat is back to 40 degrees!
Bottom line for me is that 15 mins sitting in front of a relatively powerful jet of freezing cold air blasting towards me when room temperatures are verging on unbearable really really REALLY is a game-changer.
