Having a home charging unit makes the running cost of EV’s much more economical. Unsure if using public points work out much different to petrol/diesel costs. Public charging especially rapid and ultra repid currently costs more per mile than petrol. However it depends on market trends for each fuel. There are cheaper rates if you subscribe to a charge card with monthly subscription. It will be most cost effiecent if you can charge at home the majority of time on a EV tariff!
