I originally had a new Seat Ateca on order (currently driving a Seat Leon) ordered in March 2021. Had all the paperwork etc and insurance extensions every few months. Got a letter in March 2023 from Motability saying that it was time to order a new car. Spoke to them and found out that the dealer had cancelled the order. When speaking to the dealer they said they couldn’t find any details of an order (despite me having the paperwork in hand). They said they could put a new application through but the deposit was now £1000 more! After several back and forth I decided to scrap Seat and go with the Vauxhall Grandland. My car is now over the 5yr mark and I had to get permission from Motability to extend it even further! By these comments I’m not expecting a new car any time soon! They’ll all be flying cars by the time I finally get a new one!!!
