Regarding your test drive at Douglas Park in Glasgow I had pretty much the same experience last week in (what sounds like) the exact same car. Turned up for a pre arranged test drive only to be told they didn’t know about it and the car was off site. Eventually after much scurrying around and me sitting clueless the salesman (who I suspect may be the same guy who dealt with yourself) said another salesman had left with the keys but fortunately he had a spare set and would use his car to take me up the road to where the i4 was located.
Cue test drive with me doing 90% of the talking and not getting much back. I asked about discount on options if we were to go ahead and order and was given a categoric “No” – strange as I had a Mini Countryman in 2017 from the same dealership and was offered 14% off any options before I even asked.
Was out in the car for about 20 minutes which was lovely to drive and I did really like it but the experience was soured by the guy’s attitude.
Going to see the Motability specialist at Arnold Clark in Hillington tomorrow hopefully for a more pleasant and relaxed experience – fingers crossed.
