Scientists, through reconstructions based on evidence gathered via ice cores, tree rings and sediment deposits, that the current climate we are seeing is near to the levels seen on Earth about 125,000 years ago during the last interglacial period, before the last glacial period. Sea levels at the time were also 9-10 higher than they are today.
There was no cars, no industrial revolution 125,000 years ago nor were there in the periods before. Planet earth has warmed and cooled since our planet was born and it will warm and cool again. Whether or not man has speeded it up this time round, scientists of the future will base on similar evidence rather than modelling. Either way Earth will continue to warm and cool long after us.
