Hi there, a few things from a long term owner, agree the lane departure warning is harsh, but how really needs it anyway surly we can keep to our side of the road can’t we, just turn it off, that’s what I did.

The blips and bongs are to be honest my only and far true grip with the HS, it drove me mad but had the MG dealership update the software and it is fine now.

the rear sensors that seem to blip to early and you know you have loads of room left to reverse, look like they are set at the wrong level for you, in the ‘car’ section on the screen you can change the distance that the sensors read, ie. close, normal and far, I should think they are set on ‘far’ so giving you loads of space before you hit something.

The heating and ventilation controls in the screen is nothing new nearly all car makers seem to do this and it is only now they seemed to have realised that people want physical buttons and knobs again, not much we can do until all makers do the right thing and bring them back.

As for space the front seats in the top spec. are sport type with built in headrest and are very comfortable maybe the design of these seats do suit your mother each to there own. As for size it is classed as a large SUV, how big do you want an everyday vehicle to be? there are not too many which are larger and of course nowhere near the HS advance payment.

Finally of course you can get a DS7 (check the AP first . also many DS locations are closing, they are in Essex anyway) or another Tiguan, you clearly like them so why change. I am only saying we are really comparing ‘tables and chairs’ sorry ‘apples and pears’ the MG HS is not a premium brand (although I changed my Mercedes GLE six months into the contract as it was load of @:<? and was very.very pleased I swap it for the HS) it does not try to beat the so called ‘Big 3 ‘ Mercedes, BMW, Audi,  but give everyone a chance to drive a very well equipped well sorted large SUV at a low  AP.in Mutability’s case, Of course it will not be for every bodies taste, what car is, if we all liked the same vehicle there would only be one model on the road, just different colours.

Anyway that’s my rant over for today
