It’s a bit hard to give a polite response to something so delusional.
The wild fires are nothing new, temperature changes are nothing new. It’s very naive to think that, in the process leading up to the ICE ban, that all this wasn’t planned for in that process.
This weather and change , it seems ,is only startling to your way of thinking.
Nothing in the world of EV is going to change any quicker. Physically nothing can change any quicker and the dates planned where tight in the extreme hence the EU extension.
The infrastructure to support an EV existence isn’t in place ANYWHERE. You cant hold people to a system where home charging can’t take place for a large proportion of society. Not where power generation isn’t strong enough to support an EV total environment.
You can’t expect a fast transition to EV when it isn’t agreed EV is the solution.
ICE alternative fuels and hydrogen still have a look in.
EV in its current form does not form a viable solution to climate change. Even Elon himself in interview said running an EV in its simplest form (ie not considering the toxic process of creation and destruction of the EV) is only a 40% reduction in energy consumption.
No western economy is going to urgently jump down a path which is unproven and impossible to maintain.
They can’t move quicker as they can’t build the basis of EV existence quicker. They can’t eradicate the existence of ICE either by rapid taxing or total banning as EV simply can’t replace them and it would adversely affect the poor not to mention the lack of an EV replacement for major supply infrastructure.
In simple terms your thinking is too simple.
The matter is vastly more complicated.
