Hi Robert,
hope this helps…. I have had my HS for over 3 years now due to my new vehicle not being ready until October, and I can say without any doubt this has been my favourite of all my 12 M0tability cars it is the most comfortable, well spec’d and realistic AP vehicle on the Motability scheme, it was back over 3 years ago and it is still now.
Forget the ‘ho it’s made in China’ (what is not made there) they have, without shame , taken all the great designs from other makes and turn out their own fantastic large SUV. The build quality is will up there with them too, over the past 3 years it has never missed a beat and drives as good as when it was brand new with no signs of wear or tear anywhere and everything works as it should still.
I opted for the top of the range automatic in Pearl white with red/black leather (now a cost option I see) and it still turns heads even though you do see a lot more of them on the road, the list of standard equipment is second to none, leather, sliding panoramic roof, tinted glass all round, 18” alloy wheels, sat nav, heated sport seats with built in headrests, super sport button (for an instant burst of speed), a great sound system which also plays video, all the safety kit you will need (to much to list here) a huge boot, power lift tailgate, power/ heated seats, in fact if I had to keep this forever I would be very, very pleased but like many I do like a change so I am taking delivery of a Citroen C5X in October, but it has nowhere near the same level of options fitted as standard.
So, there you have it, from a real long term owner, as for me I would tell you to go right ahead and order one. The new face lift has not IMO made a great deal of what was already a smart, if a little dull, SUV and the red/black leather is now an extra as is the sunroof, but there are still things which are still great so just test drive one and see for yourself.
Let us all know how you get on at the dealership.
Good luck
ROY
