Thanks
saleswoman told me yesterday her non-HEV 1.6 petrol was getting around 42 which I thought was unlikely. I found a couple of recent posts on the Kia forums reporting it, def. HEV versions
She probably wanted to offload a petrol version over an HEV as the petrols versions don’t sell as well and are 2 a penny if you look at the secondhand market on autotrader etc.
I have the same 1.6 petrol engine in my Tuscon. Local driving I get mainly between 29-32mpg. On a journey a 200+ mile journey, I can get 39-42mpg if I’m careful. My long term average is 33.2mpg. The HEV will be around 50mpg on a run.
I wasn’t aware the HEV was suffering with the PPF but if the GT line s came back on the scheme I would have one over the Austral.
