I have an older MG ZS that has a relatively short range in real terms of about 160 miles per charge.

I just drove from North Norfolk to Thorpe Park we stopped at Epping for McDonald’s and a charge stop.

There’s a Shell there with 4 150kw chargers. By the time I’d eaten and been to the loo the car was charged and we were off again.

Day out at Thorpe Park which is really disabled friendly btw. We then stayed at Chessington hotel again disabled friendly with adapted rooms if necessary. They have free car chargers so by the next morning car was fully charged for the journey home after a day in Chessington which was also very disabled friendly too.

All in all the entire journey cost me under £30 and of course I didn’t get caught by the ulez zone either.

I no longer get painful hands after driving as there’s no ice vibration affecting them, I can charge at home. My social housing landlord is about to fit solar panels so win there too.

I’d never go back to an ice car even if motability tried to force me via a grant which they can apparently
