I know you can add optional extras to Motability car orders, but how about paying for a trim level upgrade? The Msport is £1,500 more, but I’d guess that wouldn’t be allowed. In fact that £1,500 increas in price is probably why this car is on Motability. Very few retail/lease customers would choose the Sport with the Msport at such a slight increase in price.
Sadly this is the case with most of the decent cars that come onto the scheme. All we are offered is the base model that they can’t sell to either private buyers or lease customers who have access to far more choice than we do.
