C It’s not ‘all ‘ about saving money on fuel ( you may lose those savings, in retail purchase pricing differences between ICE powered cars and EV’s). No, it’s also about the ,‘electric drive’ ie the smoothness, the performance, the peace and quiet , the technology , ie. the overall travelling improvement? My wife was not at all keen on the potential problems she had read about with relatively short ranges on the more affordable EV’s, especially in the summer, as we travel quite long distances between Berkshire and Essex regularly, Southport 5 or six times a year, South Wales monthly , Cornwall 2 or 3 times a year, and occasionally to Copenhagen, but as an asthma sufferer, also is concerned about the impact that exhaust fumes Etc have on the environment and on health, and I tend to agree with her! So, we opted for ‘a bit more than a ‘half way house ‘ ( HWH would be a self charging hybrid i guess ? ) by having the QQ ePower, which, along with the x Trail, is clearly the closest car out there to a full, EV , as it has a fully electric drive, with all the benefits of such an arrangement , but the battery is charged by a petrol engine instead of a Nuclear Power Station? The result , for us, is a superior travel experience, with better MPG than an ICE, no range anxiety, and at a reasonable AP.

You do realise the Qashqai E Power has roughly the same Co2 emissions as an average ICE vehicle.
