@Kezo Indeed, I do want an EV, but if its not suitable….I will go Hybrid. My petrol costs are about £1400\year. But only getting 33mpg from the 2008. Any Hybrid will get better fuel economy than that….lol. There is another VW garage a few miles away, I ‘ll go and see if they have an ID.5 to have a look at..
I’m paying particular attention to thr Renault Austral at the moment. All reviews say how economical it is. The Mazda cx-60 I like very much, even with some hesitations but I won’t pay £6k or more on the scheme, which is the average AP for larger PHEVs, so its looking like a full hybrid.
An EV isn’t right for me at the moment, mainly because of the winter mileage and the need in an emergency to get back home to my elederly parents, plus I’m far from a Sunday driver!
