Yes the newer Hi8 mm camcorder will accept play, record function etc the video older 8mm tapes, however the older the older video 8mm cams won’t recognise the Hi8 tapes..
Got a cracking deal on a fully working camcorder too play some of the footage we have from years ago, our kids & days out..
