I was looking at various full hybrids and the thing that put me off the Sportage compared to the Kuga and Tucson etc. were the wltp mpg figures, for a full hybrid it’s a lot lower. At 39mpg that’s 10mpg less than the Tucson andv20mpg less than the Austral, Kuga owners are reporting real word averages between 50 and 70mpg.
I think the figures are wrong somewhere re the Sportage and Tuscon, as they are identical other than their coats!
Comparing the Kuga to the Sportage/Tuscon is dificult as the latter two have much ore poweful turbo engines – 230 vs 190 bhp, 7.5 vs 9.1 seconds 0-60. Even the 1.3 3 pot Austral hybrid is more powerful. than the Kuga.
P.s the 39mpg for the Sportage is the AWD version which is more or less identical to the Tuscon hybrid AWD.
