Only things that put me off were the raised floor area in front of the seats (battery pack) which reduced the knee room under the steering wheel when getting in/out to virtually none, I”m just over 6’5″. The other things were the headrests blocked the over the shoulder view through the rear passenger window, couldn’t see anything at all. And lastly the centre console is a lot higher than the Ateca, probably 10cm or greater, that meant it was rubbing against my left knee joint which is painful. I may try a test drive but my local dealer only has the base trim, nearest Techno Alpine is 15 miles away. Failing that I may just wait until the MK24 Kuga FHEV comes out. Price wise petrol or FHEV all work out the same over 3yrs, £1000 more AP for the hybrid or £1000 more for non-hybrid in fuel costs.
I expect the base trim will give you a good idea of how the car drives, bar the fact it sits on 19″ rims and not 20″ as the mid spec does.
Indeed its ether £1000 extra in fuel or AP so neither here or there, unless you cover an high amount of miles.
