I’m due to change cars next year I currently have what you term “cheap Chinese crap” an MG ZS many of the features standard on it are optional extras on the VAG cars no matter the time, at least the ones on the scheme.

VW persist in their stupid shift button style for operating the real windows because they only fit two window buttons on the drivers door.

VW software has persistently been garbage in the recent past too.

Given the number of miles traveled by EV in total across China those manufacturers have way more experience than the West. For example the semi automated booths that swap batteries out and you pay for the charge difference instead of charging your car and it’s done in 3 minutes

During a recession most companies lay staff off that’s part of the point of recession equals bad. No point picking out EV manufacturing or a Chinese co in particular.

Given the Chinese economy who knows what will happen there it isn’t run like any other country and the CCP aren’t afraid of running up huge debt like 900 billion on the railways so they have options that western gov don’t have ot refuse to use.

Yes I’ve had a problem with my MG but it’s been way more reliable than my last brand new VW (Passat) that arrived with an electrical fault and burnt oil it’s entire life too about a litre a week.

VW have gotten way too greedy with their trim and options, other issues aside
