I was going to have a look at the Austral in the flesh today and decide if I wanted to book a test drive but decided to give it a miss as its pouring down lol.
One or two concern I have are firstly, unless you have Renaualts 4 control system the car is oddly fitted with torsion beam rear suspension rather than multilink suspension. That to me is rather odd in a car that szed today – must be a French thing! Secondly, also mentioned in reviews is the over conplicated gearbox that doesn’t like to be hurried, which may, may not be a concern given my driving style. Lastly it would have been nive if they fitted a pano roof in the Tecno Esprit!
Never the less it deserves a test drive and either be added or discounted from myvery shortlist, with the larger X Trail in first place.
