@Berty yes those were the days when every second street was an industrial estate and we could and did make a lot of things, not so much now. Are you aware Sandwell council still has a creaking system, the garden waste fee was introduced this year, but it seems they tried to keep it secret until after the local elections, and within days after the councillors were re-elected a leaflet came through the door explaining the charge, with our bin not being collected previous to this without knowing why or the fact we needed a sticker, the best part is the bin men have been on strike since.
