Just to Note
PAYG elec meters are now not allowed to be any dearer than paying by direct debit
My providers rates are better than some
And so no DD overcharging for me
I was able to top up my meter by £500 at the lower rate before the big increases so it would help and soften the impact
Electric car arriving soon which will only cover 6500 mile a yr
So at this point off peak tariff/smart meter not yet warranted/needed
But never say never as I am aware that I will be forced to have a so called smart meter at some point in the future
