I think there’s a bit of confusion between the amount of miles you can cover on your 3 year lease and the maximum amount of miles you can have covered over 3 years to extend your lease for an extra 2 years. To extend your lease for an extra 2 years it used to be that you could not have done more than 15,000 miles in 3 years, but this was always a very relaxed rule. It’s not been enforced during the Covid supply issues, even today I’d say Motability will happily extend a 3 year lease even if you had done well over 20,000.
yeah this exactly, there’s your mileage limit per year and a totally separate issue of maximum miles you can do before you can extend which again is different for WAVs and heavily adapted cars I believe. What I’d like though is it raised and redefined , not a relaxed rule. So I’d know before even putting a mile on the clock what I’m able to do that would automatically allow me the option of an extension . Or indeed as I said in my original post, a guaranteed extension if I’ve paid a defined high AP
