Re: the wing mirrors not folding, a similar question was asked on the VW Tiguan forum the other week but was pointed out that the mirror are programmed not to fold above a certain speed, not sure but think its just a few MPH in the VW and this is because its illegal to drive the car while in motion with the mirrors folded. If you fold them while stopped in a tight spot to let something get by going the other way the mirrors will unfold as soon as you reach a preset speed even if the control on the door is still set to fold.

it does not matter if service not due to setember, get it booked in.
Called dealer we got the car from, shocked at their response, “we don’t have any Kia Sportage technicians and are not accepting servicing until September” I explained it is a diagnosis needed and repair not service still cannot accept the car. Called Motability, and they were fantastic and offered a solution for my exceptional medical circumstances, which I won’t discuss on here.
We got the car from that particular dealer because they are a Kia main dealer and agreed to pick the car up and deliver it back, as I don’t have any family that drives and taxis are out of the question because of medical circumstances of myself and my wife.
