Can’t quite marke out the full picture where youve inserted “gardens”, but would the HA allow you to put 2 rows of slabs to act as a driveway in your garden and use bolt down kerb droppers such as RadiKerb or request the kerbs to be dropped? If you were to ask if this is possible and they still say no, write to the director and go to the local and national press if you have time for a challenge! Its about time the goverment acted now and made it a legal obligation for HA’s to provide home chargers or off street chargers. Instead the goverment will drag its feet and it will be 2030 or what ever date the ban on the sale of new ICE cars comes into force, leaving many who want an EVhung to dry.

The 2 rows might work and would be enough to get you close to a charger.

I’ve got to agree, if this 2030 target has even half a chance of being met, new builds and HA property has to be forced into providing charging facilities.  When used EVs start being a viable option, the opportunity to charge at home will be a difference maker in that decision making process and if you lived in HA and knew it’d be a pain to get one installed, even if you can pay for it, then the diesel/petrol option would be so much easier and that can’t be an acceptable outcome.
