All I’d add is that it’s always best to visit you local dealer, even if you plan to get your car elsewhere and mention you’re looking for a Motability car. It’ll rapidly demonstrate their attitude to Motability customers and that’s important as you will need them for servicing and, if the worst happens, repairs. There are some who are very welcoming and will treat you well and some who see Motability as a waste of their time, the latter should be avoided as they could be the ones who book you in for servicing as late as possible and don’t have a suitable courtesy car available or anything else that could ruin your day.
I see it as a light touch but long term relationship, you don’t need them often but when you do the level of service you get, including acceptance of your special requirements is important. There’s little worse than arriving for a simple job to be done to be told you’ll have to wait and there’s no seating around.
