Generally, MB are not generous with purchase quotes, as they want you to keep in the scheme. I take it, that this purchase is for you, and not to flip. You say this is low spec, that would be a a big no from me, as it’s my money, have you looked at other models from dealers/auto trader, with a better spec. As you know if purchased, from MB, it comes with no warranty. If I was purchasing, I would want the best spec I could afford. I am soon to ask MB a price for my BMW gran coupe, mine doesn’t have a sun roof, and is the small 218, however it’s still suits me, and this car is now knocking 40k new, but I am not paying over the top, I am looking at 25k. I’d want a sun roof, and bigger engine, there is nothing on the scheme, with a reasonable AP (up to 4k), that I want to shell out for. Failing a decent price, I am going to extend for another 2 years, something I said I would never do, the prices of AP are mad. Have looked at mini, although lovely, but not really getting anything more than I have. I am waiting to see what happens in the July quarter, and then Jan. if nothing I will just leave the scheme and fund a private purchase.
