There is a noise limit but you need traffic police with the time and inclination to do something about it.
As I get older I get less tolerant of noise, whether that’s exhausts or stereo systems booming away. That’s one real joy in EVs I can drive with the stereo relatively low and still listen to it, no competing with the road/engine noise.
