First fault appeared on my Kuga this last few days the engine check light has come on and stayed on,car is running ok and there has been no alert message, goes into dealers on 1st June. They can also have a look at the “emergency brake assist” while they have it because that scares the shit out of me it will come on in a big flashing red alert panel …….randomly when passing parked vehicles, that has been like it since day one.

Update, car was with the dealer for 2 days, they said they had removed an “historic” fault code (to do with a knock sensor) and had reduced the sensitivty of the “emergency brake assist”. Within 5 miles of driving after picking the car up……..the engine managment light came back,,,,,and last night at the cars favorite place for giving a faux emergency brake assist warning (flashing red panel) it did it again. So phoned the dealers up Saturday morning and car goes back to them on the 14th June.

Car went into dealers yeserday, got a phone call saying the technician cant see the engine check light and there are no codes stored in the ecu………..suggests the technician takes the car home with him and brings back in morning to see if engine check light comes back on……….phone call this morning come and collect car,no light came back on and they have done a pcm update.

Car is running ok and no light came back while i went home,i took a pic of the dash with engine running.

Hope its cleared the problem for good.
