Tomorrow has arrived and the two cars are added to the Motability Search.
Thank you.
Nissan have led the way in terms of Motability and BEVs. When Hyundai could no longer fulfil orders for the Kona and KIA pulled the Nero, the only high ranged (200 mile plus) was the Ariya and even when the chip crisis was at it’s worst they still stayed with the scheme, even if the AP had to rise dramatically. Was it worth a near ten grand AP? At the time I’m sure a few people thought so. Now, they’ve been able to drop the AP back down to a near reasonable (for EVs) level and have acknowledged that there are some who are both capable and willing to spend more. They have added a higher spec model, despite the Advance having a decent level of equipment, and a longer ranged version of the Advance.
Now to see if others can and will follow suit. The Enyaq is cheap enough that the Sportline Plus could still fit under the notional £8000 AP. The Mach E needs to drop it’s current AP to now be competitive and, hopefully, July 1 will see that happen, both for that and the Q4.
