you guys should not discount the chinese brands to be honest, BYD have been supplying battery tech to the world for a long time and its highly likely you have something that is a byd battery rebranded (oem in your house) and there is good reason brands get the batteries from them.
then you just look over at geely too, smart ev, theirs, lotus ev theirs, volvo and polestar ev theirs, all their tech and motors (chinese)…. evem the electric london taxi is theirs.
The law of chinese items is really simple if its 2/3rds of the cost its good. If its anything less its come out
