The ‘new look’ Peugeot 2008 appears this Summer – but initially only in pure electric form.
In early 2024, the powertrain lineup will grow to include a new hybrid with a 134-bhp petrol engine mated to a six-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission incorporating an electric motor. It’s claimed to cut fuel consumption by as much as 15 percent compared to a non-hybrid petrol engine. Peugeot goes as far as to say it expects owners to drive the car in pure electric mode for more than 50 percent of the time in the city.
