It’ll take a brave person to try and guess what will happen.
The Skoda Enyaq came down in price then they added the bigger battery for less than the original AP. The Ariya came down after going up quite a huge amount. The biggest mover was the Megane though, Started just over £5k, then dropped to half price and now the top model is even less.
As for the Mach-E, if it followed the Enyaq’s lead and dropped price for the standard range and presented the long range model around the original AP, then a lot of people might look favourably. At the moment the Enyaq offers more range for significantly less AP, the ID4 and 5 both offer plenty of equipment and significantly more range. However, the higher ranged Mach-E is the Premium edition and offers a huge level of spec. For me, I’m still prefering the Enyaq with additional packs but would be very interested in the Mach-E as it’s the only one I’ve been able to get in without bending my knee too much but the current offering is too much for the range offered.
